Best Summer Cocktails: Flavors to Try on Vacation

24 June 2025

Summer is about slowing down, breathing, and indulging in simple pleasures. And what could be more iconic than a cocktail sipped at sunset, with the sound of the sea in the background and your skin still warm from the sun? Summer drinks in 2025 aren't just good to drink: they're a sensorial, visual, almost scenographic experience. A ritual that tells the story of where you are and the mood you want to be in.

COCKTAIL

1. Negroni Bianco ndash; Italy reinvented
The summer reinterpretation of the Italian classic. Dry gin, white vermouth and citrus bitters, served with lemon zest and an oversized ice cube. Fresh, elegant, Mediterranean.

2. Paloma Rosa ndash; Mexico in pink
Tequila, pink grapefruit juice, soda and a pinch of salt. Thirst-quenching and feminine, it is perfect to accompany ceviche and seafood tapas. One of the strong trends of the season.

COCKTAIL

3. Basil Smash ndash; Herbaceous and sophisticated
A bright green mix of gin, lemon and fresh basil. It strikes with its intense aroma and minimal presentation. Also excellent as a non-alcoholic aperitif in its “mocktailrdquo; version.

4. Elderflower Spritz ndash; Delicate and fragrant
The soft alternative to the classic Aperol. With prosecco, elderflower liqueur and soda, it is the most ordered drink in beach clubs in Northern Europe. Also try with lavender or violet.

5. Original Mai Tai ndash; Trip to the tropics
Dark rum, lime, orgeat and curaccedil;ao: a great tiki classic that is back in fashion in the most refined cocktail bars. Served in decorated glasses or with banana leaves.

COCKTAIL

Experience beyond the glass
Today the cocktail is also mise en place: hand-blown glass, sculpted ice, rare botanicals and chef-made garnish. Bartenders are transformed into storytellers, and the bar counter into a stage.

COCKTAIL

The trend of local cocktails
Each destination has its own signature drink. In Positano, people drink the Limoncello Mule, in Ibiza the Mojito with Indian fig, in Formentera the Agua de Mar with gin and cucumber. Choosing a local cocktail is a way to really get into the spirit of the place.
